Namche Trader

Namche Bazaar is a small town tucked into the mountains of Nepal, and a mandatory stop on the way to Everest Base Camp. It also has a famous weekly market I was able to attend. The man in this image was interested in my camera and came up to me while I was looking for good subjects in the market. I showed him how to work the camera and he took several shots of the surroundings. None of his turned out very well, but when he was done he posed for me.

So intense portrait

@Luca Bobbiesi: Thanks. Its funny. He was actually a really mellow guy. I haven't really thought of this shot as intense because that wasn't my experience. But now that you mention it I can see it.

This is a wonderful portrait, Rand- I like very much that he has that intense look on his face.

@Tracy: Thanks. Again, he was really more mellow than intense. Maybe it was just the sun in his eyes.
