This image was made while hiking the John Muir Trail. Coming down off Pinchot Pass, I made a series of shots I thought would be good converted to IR.

Love, love the IR. Do you have a special camera for this or is this a setting in camera? I really want to try IR sometime - think that one must sacrifice a camera to have the guts changed out to IR.

@Barbara: Hi Barbara. I didn't sacrifice a camera. I convert this to an IR look in post. You can do it in either Photoshop or Lightroom. It is basically a question of converting it to B&W and then making blues darker and greens lighter. There are lots of sites that give explanations of how to do it, so just give it a google and have fun.
